SASSA are going to be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed concerning the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area each day. The support stage created for intervention ordeals a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who go to sassa status check a service point.
“In this reach-out sassa status programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
